In this article, we will be recreating Dipika Padukone’s favourite dessert – the Nutella Cake. We will be using simple ingredients that are easily available in most grocery stores. So, let’s get started!


• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 cup cocoa powder
• 1 cup butter, softened
• 1 cup granulated sugar
• 2 large eggs
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1 cup buttermilk
• 1 cup Nutella
• 1/2 cup chopped hazelnuts


1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.

2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder.

3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in the vanilla extract.

4. Alternately add the dry ingredients and the buttermilk to the butter mixture, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Beat until just combined.

5. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow to cool completely.

6. Spread the Nutella over one of the cooled cakes. Place the other cake on top and sprinkle with the chopped hazelnuts.

7. Serve and enjoy!
