Healthy Eating
Eating healthy is an important part of living a healthy lifestyle. Eating healthy can help you maintain a healthy weight, reduce your risk of chronic diseases, and provide you with essential nutrients. However, it can be difficult to make healthy eating a part of your daily routine. Here are some tips to make eating healthy easier.
Plan Ahead
One of the best ways to make healthy eating easier is to plan ahead. Take some time each week to plan out your meals for the week. This will help you make sure you have the ingredients you need on hand and that you are eating a variety of healthy foods. You can also plan ahead for snacks and meals on the go.
Shop Smart
When you go grocery shopping, make sure to stick to the perimeter of the store. This is where you will find the fresh produce, dairy, and lean proteins. Avoid the processed and packaged foods in the middle aisles. Also, make sure to read the nutrition labels on the foods you buy. Look for foods that are low in sugar, sodium, and saturated fat.
Eat Mindfully
Eating mindfully means paying attention to what you are eating and how it makes you feel. Take your time when you eat and savor each bite. Avoid eating in front of the TV or while scrolling through your phone. This will help you be more aware of what you are eating and how much you are eating.
Make Healthy Swaps
Making small changes to your diet can make a big difference. Try swapping out unhealthy ingredients for healthier alternatives. For example, you can swap out white bread for whole wheat bread, or white rice for brown rice. You can also swap out sugary snacks for healthier options like fruits and vegetables.
Stay Hydrated
Staying hydrated is an important part of eating healthy. Make sure to drink plenty of water throughout the day. You can also add some flavor to your water by adding slices of lemon, lime, or cucumber.

This is the best advice on weight loss I've seen yet because it's "real life"! I find that your recipes and making healthier, lower fat versions of processed fattening foods helps a lot! And being patient for 3 months to really see results.
Dani- So-Intermittent fasting? I have never done anything like this-just started this 2 weeks ago-Not sure this is right either-What are your thoughts on this. Just doing this 2 weeks has made me understand that I just had gotten off track. Not eating good meals, I had skipped lunch alot and snacked at night and never used too. Lots of stress. I still think your way is the right way-Its just I have never had to loose weight and honestly, I am so afraid nothing will work and I will stay this way or get bigger. I used to be a size 4,6,8 and now like a 8, 10,12. I'am 56 and I don't like it. I never went for skinny-strong and healthy. I have to say though even at a size 4,6-I thought I was fat. Self love and wisdom yes-Almost afraid to just love self- I feel it contributed to just giving myself permission to eat what and when I wanted-does that make sense? Any way, your thoughts would be greatly appreciated. The oatmeal thing too-it has been villainized for the carb content. To eat or not to eat. You eat, but you work out alot-
Hello Danny, how can i reduce my cravings of sweets? I have mental illness. so I dont know what to do instead of craving. i am searching for help in the internet and found your videos very helpful. Thank you Danny😊
When I get a craving I get a drink of water rather than go 👀 for food . My partner and I don’t buy junk food anymore since Xmas and have lost 9 kilos each to date . We treat ourselves once a month to baskin robins 🎉yum . 😊 I follow up your videos especially with gluten free and keto friendly .
Hi Dani, can you recommend or make a video about toxic free non stick pans?
I love your channel!
Brilliant.
‘Tiny Decisions’ – perfect.
Thank you🙏🤩🙏
Alot of the packaged foods we eat ain't good anyway and its processed. Gonna start buying my stuff organic. I'm not trying to be paranoid but I'm really just afraid of having any medical/health issues. I take my health very seriously. But I guess you also have to eat everything in moderation too
Thank you so much for this video
👍♥️🇨🇦👏
Yes! Fantastic way of looking at the Big Pictue of living a healthy lifestyle
amazing advice – thank you
What has really helped me focus my attention on healthy cooking is purchasing a recipe-grocery shopping app called Paprika. I’ve downloaded recipes into this app, use it for grocery shopping and meal planning. It was a serious game changer for me. I went from hating to cook to now being passionate about it. YouTubers like yourself inspire me to keep going.
You explained emotional eating so well! Thank you!
What healthy proteins do you recommend for breakfast? We eat bacon or sausage most days. Sometimes canadian or turkey bacon but my kids and husband aren't big fans.
I am not looking to lose weight, trying to eat healthy and gain muscle weight.
Thank you! For the first time someone has explained to me what 10 years of therapy did not. Thank you! You are seriously THE BEST.
One thing I did was to prep our healthy carbs once a week, be it black beans, quinoa, wild rice, etc. After cooking each type of carb, I would measure out two servings for my husband and me, place those two servings in ziploc bags, and freeze. Each night we would decide which carb we wanted with dinner, throw the chosen ziploc bag in the microwave, and boom! You're done! It makes meal prep so easy, and it keeps you from overeating.
Can you do a video on the proper use of oil, and which oils are healthiest vs which are the worst for you?
Great tips
I cut out all soda pop back in 2014 after being diagnosed with breast cancer . And then 3 yrs ago , just 4 days before I turned 52 I not only got diagnosed with being a Celiac but also found out I had 2 spots on my liver that were cancer. They got cut out .The surgeon I had told me I not only have to be gluten free for life but I also am on a Kosher diet and I also cant have any processed foods . I also drink 5 to 6 cups of green tea a day . Green tea naturally slims U and is also full of other natural benefits . and I also eat purty much almost all organic foods . When I want a snack 9 times out of 10 I just grab an apple . Cos if I'm not hungry enuf to eat an apple I'm not hungry . I make all of my food from scratch daily and I freeze my leftovers and make my own homemade TV dinners . Since where I live its really hard to find a Celiac Friendly place to go eat . So I mostly eat at home . And I have a super high metabolism so I have a lot of enegry and just burn it off by walking a lot or doing meditation and yoga moves .
great book Atomic Habits!! I got it as an audiobook and loved it. Thanks for all the helpful tips
I pre ordered your book! you are amazing and I totally resinate with your recipes and your thoughts on dieting. you have helped me so much. I have been struggling with my diet and lifestyle and you have given me the answers I needed to re evaluate and go in a better more sustainable direction. <3
What has been helpful to me lately is getting an education on what my body does during a fast. And also how eating processed foods causes my body to produce more insulin. (Which can eventually lead to diabetes)
Realizing I’m addicted to sugar and my brain will demand it. That I won’t die, or faint without it! That’s a lie I have been believing.
The truth has set me free!
Ahha moment. My emotions are messengers that I only need to stop for a moment and acknowledge it. I don’t need to find a solution or do anything, especially don’t go eat something to make me feel better.
I’m going to try to be more aware of my emotions now in a gentler way.
Dani, what are your thoughts on WW? I am currently on the program but find it makes me a little consumed by food. Always thinking about what I can and can’t have based on my daily points. I hate tracking. I hate measuring. That’s when I give up.
Thank you, Dani. My number one tip to myself today is: watch Dani's tips daily, and stop watching the nonsense other things I watch. R
Great tips! I’ve started reading Atomic Habits. So far so good! It’s so true that good habits will take time (hardest thing about it) and I like that he identifies habits with identity. Your habits should coincide with the person/identity you want to be. ❤❤
