1. Make Time for Yourself
As a single parent, it can be easy to get caught up in the day-to-day responsibilities of parenting. It’s important to make time for yourself, even if it’s just a few minutes a day. Take a walk, read a book, or do something else that you enjoy. This will help you stay balanced and give you the energy to be a better parent.
2. Ask for Help
It’s okay to ask for help. Whether it’s from family, friends, or a support group, don’t be afraid to reach out. Having someone to talk to or to help with childcare can make a big difference.
3. Set Boundaries
It’s important to set boundaries with your children. This will help them understand what is expected of them and will help you maintain control.
4. Establish a Routine
Having a routine can help make parenting easier. Establish a regular bedtime, mealtime, and other activities. This will help your children feel secure and will make it easier for you to manage your time.
5. Take Time to Connect
It’s important to take time to connect with your children. Spend time talking, playing, and doing activities together. This will help you build a strong bond and will make parenting easier.
6. Make Time for Fun
Parenting can be stressful, so it’s important to make time for fun. Take your children to the park, go on a picnic, or do something else that you both enjoy. This will help you relax and will make parenting more enjoyable.
7. Be Flexible
As a single parent, it’s important to be flexible. Things don’t always go as planned, so it’s important to be able to adjust and adapt.
8. Take Care of Yourself
It’s important to take care of yourself. Eat healthy, exercise, and get enough sleep. This will help you stay healthy and will make parenting easier.
9. Set Goals
Setting goals can help you stay focused and motivated. Set short-term and long-term goals for yourself and your children. This will help you stay on track and will make parenting easier.

So glad I found your channel! I'm a single-mom to a toddler so that part about needing the tablet and snacks going out gave me a good chuckle. We never leave the house without them! I also want to start taking him out more – I don't want to be a hermit because I'm a single mom.

I was a single dad and your advice on not getting all bent out of shape about what the other parent won't do is right on point.
This was a breath of breath air to listen to (literally because I sometimes feel like I’m drowning!lol) I am a first time single mother of a 1 year old. I waited until later in life to become a mother and have had to make so many lifestyle changes it has been a shock! I have reduced my salary, all of my shopping has been for my son to make sure he is straight, and I have permanent little shadow. Your video is encouraging and it is great to here from a woman with experience.
I'm a single mother now.. And its so hard.. Thank you so much for your advice..
tHANK YOU!
I’m not a single mother but I do everything for my daughters on my own. I have no free time for myself while he has 24/7 of free time since covid started. Feeling like I’m soon to be a single mother
Grrrl!! I needed to hear this. For real God bless you. You hit everything from mom guilt, stress, overwhelm, all the doubts… thank you. You really got me with the “being more then just the person that reprimands”. ❤️
Great stuff….I love being a full time single dad…I also work from home and yep being grateful is key!
Better yet its out duty to pray to our father God for his instruction. Woman will stress out trying to play a mans role. We cannot teach them without overworking yourself and worrying about filling genes Jesus already filled. Prayer with your kids and bible reading does all the wonders you can imagine.
Great tips! Love your perspective. Thank you for sharing!
Love your make up👍
I learned that prioritizing child free time within the first 3 years of their life is MANDATORY! I also learned in the 4th year of life that it’s OK to spend on yourself again and to paint your nails sometimes 🤣 thanks for the video!

You nailed it. 5yrs of single parenting of boys and yes I confirm your word.
So… *here's my single mom rant* the other day, my son's father promised to see his first ever day of school, and then chose to take an extra shift at work and didn't tell me until the morning of the first day of school. Guess who ripped him a new one! I was walking past a cemetery with my son and he asked what was in there. I said "people who are asleep forever and ever and have passed away" and my son said "is my dad in there?" I was so disturbed by that that I spent an hour trying to phone his dad to make sure my son didn't think he was dead. I now know where the term dead beat dad comes from. His excuse is that he pays his child payments every month and that is his get out clause to actually spending time with his kid. That guy makes me so damn angry. I spent years chasing him for child payments and now he is paying he is using it as an excuse not to see his son 😡🤬
I really could have done with another parent on board, it's blooming hard working full time and juggling being a parent and keeping the house tidy. It sucks some days but some days are good.
Great insight..being a single mother is not easy but its a great feeling.
I could use a hug from you. 🙂 Thank you so much for this wonderful video and your wisdom!
