Why is the voice different? I am not used to this voice 😅
they look the same
So cakes can be muffins and muffins can be cake, depending on how you prepare them
Nice explanation but whos speaking? 🥰
😀
I wouldn't concur that the mixing method is an effective way to explain the differences, as there are indeed cupcakes whereby you mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and muffins which are made via the creaming method.
I think a better explanation to their differences is the flour ratio in the recipes. Muffins in general tend to have a higher flour ratio, which makes them much heavier compared to cupcakes. The fat ratio in muffins are also in general lower compared to cupcakes
Why do some people say 1/2 cup of butter is 110 or 115 or 120 or 125 grams if it rlly is 113 grams?
Gemma is Irish/Scottish, why does the voice over sound different?
So it is the same.
Some people like cupcakes exclusively, while myself, I say there is naught nor ought there be nothing so exalted on the face of God's grey earth as the prince of foods….the muffin!!
I just thought cupcakes were light and airy and muffins were more dense and bread like.
Interesting, always wondered
Muffins can be savory and you can add herbs and or meats to it. It generally has a more hearty and heavier texture than cupcakes. Cupcakes is just cake batter which is always sweet and lighter than muffins.
I've always wanted know the difference, but no one gave me a clear answer. I've seen many cupcake recipes made with muffin method(using oil instead of butter, preparing dry ingredients and wet ingredients separately and mix). That makes me more confused.
Not a very good explanation…. cupcakes are fluffy too
