Exciting your interior designs! I also work in furniture in Vietnam, my hometown. Hope your designs will be popular this year.🤩
Thank you so much 😊
Question about gallery wall please, can we do family pictures instead of artworks? If we can do family pictures, any suggestions on pictures tone like black and white, natural color, etc.?
Hi Kristen! can you cover combining silver and gold? I have a gray couch with chrome legs, but I really love the gold finishes and do not know how to make it work! I love the modern farmhouse, transitional styles!
I never liked the farmhouse style, the grey and all white. I am glad the trend is now more about people’s personality and functionality.
It’s cool
How about bathrooms? I'd really like to see what's in for a bathroom. We are remodeling our main bathroom & I need ideas from someone like you :>)! thank you, always enjoy watching your interior design ideas!
I love butler’s pantries too. They are an awesome trend!
Nice job. You rock homegirl!!😊😊😊
I’m glad brown is back. I pledge to never paint dark colors on walls or ceilings. It sucks up all light and energy from the room.
Yes, so tired of everyone using basic gray and white, stay away from matching furniture sets. Shopping thrift helps with this and it’s fun and shows off your personality. Love deep warm browns, but not Fort Worth beige, no thanks. Love the gallery walls my M in Law has had one since the 80’s but these can be even more expansive and I like the variety and the connection with some similar elements.
Now that I am ready to jump on the white and grey bandwagon, I see the new trend for 2023
Thanks Kristen this just confirms what I always tell my clients, “stay classic as the trend will come back around, I promise”
I have wanted a white/ivory/cream house since I was 12. Finally, the items I want are produced. With modern technology, we can have this b/c of performance fabrics (now you can get non-toxic performance fabrics). I find light colors easier b/c I simply throw them in the washer w/ oxi-clean, soak, & wash! You can’t bleach or use hydrogen peroxide on dark fabrics. Unless you have a large space, deep dark furniture & fabrics will enclose the space and drag it down. Trends come and go – just be you! I’m happy my “white” stuff is out b/c I can buy everything I need at a discount & enjoy it forever! There is a big difference between cozy and heavy- depressing.
I have a brown colored granite around my fireplace. It no longer matches my decor, furn and wall color. Any suggestions on how to change it without buying new granite?
One thing I DO LOVE. My brown kitchen cabinets that I never could afford to replace are finally looking good. And my floors that I hated when I first moved in are looking good. I thought they were too red. But now they are looking fine. They are an engineered darkish brown with a bit of red-tone in them. Now they look classic and very warm.
OH man, I did the Gallery wall 2 years ago and got over it! I loved it at the time but got tired quickly. It started looking messy and I got scared of some of the Santa pictures at Christmas. lol
Funny, last year I converted a huge room into my hobby room with wall to wall built in shelves and counters and the office just off the kitchen is now half office and half butlers pantry. Last summer when my daughter was home from college she hung 20 or more of my paintings on a wall just to get them off the floor so now I have a gallery wall as well. I don't really follow trends but this is defiantly up my ally.
Most dark depressing designs ever. Everyone can do what they want. This is horrible
I was watching a Pottery Barn video, spotted a chocolate brown sofa, and I fell in love with it. I didn't know atvthevtime that darker furniture had made a comeback. Also I've been thinking of getting darker cabinets for my kitchen. Who knew?. Thanks for the info.
My house is back in style! I was never into all white everything! I also up cycle many pieces.
I feel like this is how design should always be. If you follow trends you’ll end up spending all your money every two years in remodeling.
Love it!❤
Had already planned a kitchen update this year. I have a giant stacked window over my sink area and the wall surface is pretty small. I was planning to paint the wall as a focal point a a dark navy/charcoal trim and all. I love the highlight a dark surrounding gives a window. Was excited to see this a a trend because I needed a confidence boost!!
Might do a gallery wall. I have noticed that big art seems to be more 2022 as I'm see more dramatic gallery walls too
I loved this!! So helpful!
amazing channel and video content, thank you 🙂
Good bye white furniture. I can’t keep it looking clean because of one tiny stain.
Finally color! I was so tired of the gray, white, and just neutral trend. I'm so glad people are gonna be more bold and fun with colors! 🙂
