
Slow Cooker Chicken and Rice Recipe

I peel the skin back off the thigh and season directly on the meat and then wrap the skin back over where it was and then season on top of the skin too before flipping over and seasoning the bottom of the thigh.

I made this but used chicken breasts. Changes: up the chicken broth to 3 cups, and the vegetables up 3 cups. Cut down the time from 4 hours on high, to 2 hours. Needs other kind of seasoning, but otherwise, very easy and delicious. Oh, I would change from jasmine rice to brown rice. for the healthy factor. thank you

Could i use breast chicken?
I followed the directions step by step and it came out so flavorless and gross. I ended up taking the chicken out and seasoning it again and put it in the air fryer for 10 minutes so I could feed my kids. I was so excited to make this. Huge disappointment

What can be a substitute for soy sauce?
It was not good. I cooked on high for 3 hrs, and it burned because the rice soaked up all the water. Then the rice was completely mush. I took the chicken out and sear fried it and made the rest of the mixed vegetables.

This is a great recipe and I followed the instructions but, I discovered that after 1 hr 45 mins the rice was already cooked and the chicken overdone. I used the high setting which could have been could have been the reason.

You could save some of the chicken stock to deglaze the fry pan and get some of the caramelized chicken onions and garlic off the bottom for a little added flavour.
