Grossest House Flip We’ve EVER Done | Before and After Home Renovation
When it comes to home renovations, there are some projects that are more challenging than others. This was certainly the case with the grossest house flip we’ve ever done. The house was in a state of disrepair and had been neglected for years. The walls were covered in mold, the floors were warped and the roof was in need of repair. It was a daunting task, but we were determined to make it a success.
The first step was to assess the damage and determine what needed to be done. We had to remove all the mold and mildew, repair the floors and walls, and replace the roof. We also had to replace the plumbing and electrical systems, as well as the windows and doors. It was a huge undertaking, but we were up for the challenge.
Once the repairs were complete, we had to start the renovation process. We painted the walls, replaced the flooring, and installed new fixtures and appliances. We also added a new deck and landscaping to the exterior of the house. The transformation was incredible and the house was unrecognizable from its former state.
The end result was a beautiful home that was ready to be sold. We were proud of the work we had done and the transformation we had achieved. The house sold quickly and we were able to make a nice profit from the project.
It was a challenging project, but it was also one of the most rewarding experiences we’ve ever had. We were able to take a neglected house and turn it into a beautiful home that someone could be proud to call their own.

No garage? And what happened to the beautiful celling fans? Guess I'm old fashioned looks much better but would have loved to see some of the old structure left
Love the way you reclaimed space on this one! I do feel a 4 bedroom should have a bathtub, & wish the master closet had a door. Otherwise, wowzah!!
Maybe the front door could have been in a colour that ties with the roof? Black is an odd choice, it disappears on a facade that doesn't have that much feature…
That kitchen is way too small with zero storage for a 4 bedroom house. I know you guys made fun of the skinny windows infront but pairing it with a mismatched sized window for the addition made the the whole frontage look wack. Black exterior in the Texas heat??
The kitchen is way too small. I can’t believe families would like that.
Wow well done. This one needed some creativity!
Your always worth the wait…hugs
How much square footage did you get in the end?
So….. the bathroom needs a door. I love the green and teal tile, I love the new living space, but bathrooms need doors, and need to be separated from closets. That's all.
You won't be able to open the left door of the fridge all of the way because the hinges are too close to the side wall. (I know this from sad experience. It's a constant irritation to only be able to open the door around 2/3 of the way.)
I live in an area with cold, snowy winters. Removing a garage would make a house harder to sell here.
Lauren speaks too fast. Sometimes I can't understand what she is saying.
You never shared the costs and projected sale price!
looks amazing!!! Some natural light/ window in the new master bath would be nice. and on the addition, I think that wall to wall French/bi-folding doors on the center wall would have been ideal and 2-3 large windows on each side wall. that backyard is massive. maybe the new owners will add a paver patio area
Everything is beautiful
I would’ve preferred if the kitchen was much bigger especially for a big family and moved to the new living space is and move the dinning room to where the new kitchen is and keep the living room in the original place.
Loved the converted garage master bedroom and the front door over hang! And I’m surprised they never talked about the numbers on this house like they usually do at the end of every episode
Wow! Huge improvement. You guy did a GREAT Job!
You guys did such a great job adding so much square footage to the house. But it is such a shame that you kept that tiny one-bedroom apartment kitchen.
All in all, I loved the overall design except for the exterior side of the entry door. I think one of the first things the new homeowner will do will be to add a pop of color on the exterior side of the entry door to make the house more inviting. Cause right now the entry door is lost with all the black paint, making the house unwelcoming and borderline haunted house-ish.
I hope this doesn't offend you. But thank you so much for giving us another episode
Finally did another color other than white on the exterior of the house thank God
Kitchen is toooooo smalll
Never put the oven next to the refrigerator. You are defeating their purpose.
@Austin Flipsters :: what happened to the numbers at the end of the video, Lauren?
i died at the last supper painting 😅
Beautiful, lovely black exterior, green ascent tiles and mattle black fittings against the white backdrop. Great job 👍
didnt care for the popcorn eating during the video
I understand making a home feel like new, but the kitchen is just as small as an apartment. A house with four bedrooms but the kitchen lacks cabinets, You didn't pack in any function, you took away cabinets and this is horrible.
People are sure dirty and pigs
Too bad, kitchen is way too small for a 4-bedroom house.
I love the tile choices and the exterior.
But the kitchen is way too small! And the master closet and bathroom are well designed EXCEPT….. where do you hang long things, like dresses or coats!? One section, maybe along the back wall, shouldn’t have the lower rail and shelf.
The house belong to a hoarder it's a dead give away. Also hoarding is a symptom of mental illness. Anyway love the transformation.
@ Austin Flipsters, what is your email address so i can get a hold of you
Well, if the addition was approped and I question the condition of the garage. Uh, with 4 bedrooms…you might have more people than the tink kitchen can handle.
I always get the feeling that you were the mean girls in school.
Stunning
Where the numbers at?! Numbers AF!!
22:17 Are those doors to the bathroom like "Skinny Jeans" Doors… They look like they are like 24 inches wide?? And why put a door where the toilet is?? You would have to enter, close the door then use the toilet, then open the door… A little too small of a space to have a door for the toilet (in my opinion). Also around the base of the home some nice white gravel to really help accent the black exterior walls. 🙂
Where’s the numbers?! You usually go over all the numbers, but forgot to on this one?
What an amazing difference! You did a great job. I’d love to know what you sold it for.
Turned out great looks wise. I would have turned the garage into the living room. Old living room into kitchen facing the street, the dining into the old kitchen and the master suite facing the yard. I will guess that the selling price is about half a million dollars. That tiny kitchen without a window is a big no no. Again, as I mentioned in another garage conversion video, removing a few feet of the driveway from the house totally removes the conversion look. The overhang above the front door is too small, the door gets lost, the color is terrible, I don’t get why paint a house black. I didn’t like the layout at all but then again I’m not buying the house.
Prices ?????????
They almost said All Windows Matter … 💀
The millennial grey floors 😭
That house is waaaaaaay much butter! LOL
💗❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🖤🤍🤎
Cons: Ohh nooo.. not a stove right beside the fridge!!! Just no!! 🫣
And that garage conversion deserves a better layout. The spaces are very elongated. You didn’t even put a window in the primary bath?? 😢
Pros: The overall workmanship of this renovation is very good. Very clean, smooth, high quality details. Shoutout to your construction team for that.
I love the new floors & interior wall colors. The dark exterior looks very sleek, modern & a smart way to hide the ridiculousness of the old facade design.
