Instant Pot vs Crock Pot: Which Should You Buy?
When it comes to slow cooking, two of the most popular kitchen appliances are the Instant Pot and the Crock Pot. Both of these appliances are great for making delicious meals with minimal effort, but which one should you buy? In this article, we’ll compare the two and help you decide which one is right for you.
Price
The first factor to consider when choosing between an Instant Pot and a Crock Pot is the price. The Instant Pot is generally more expensive than the Crock Pot, with prices ranging from around $50 to $200 depending on the model. The Crock Pot, on the other hand, is usually much cheaper, with prices ranging from around $20 to $100. So if you’re on a budget, the Crock Pot is probably the better option.
Features
The next factor to consider is the features of each appliance. The Instant Pot has a wide range of features, including pressure cooking, slow cooking, sautéing, steaming, and more. It also has a timer and a keep-warm setting, so you can set it and forget it. The Crock Pot, on the other hand, is more limited in terms of features. It only has slow cooking and a keep-warm setting, so it’s not as versatile as the Instant Pot.
Ease of Use
When it comes to ease of use, the Instant Pot is the clear winner. It has a digital display and a wide range of settings, so it’s easy to use and understand. The Crock Pot, on the other hand, is much more basic and doesn’t have a digital display. This makes it more difficult to use and understand, so it’s not as user-friendly as the Instant Pot.
Cleaning
The last factor to consider is the cleaning process. The Instant Pot is much easier to clean than the Crock Pot, as it has a non-stick inner pot that can be easily wiped down. The Crock Pot, on the other hand, has a ceramic inner pot that needs to be hand-washed. So if you’re looking for an appliance that’s easy to clean, the Instant Pot is the better option.
Conclusion
When it comes to choosing between an Instant Pot and a Crock Pot, there are a few factors to consider. The Instant Pot is generally more expensive, but it has a wide range of features and is easy to use and clean. The Crock Pot is much cheaper, but it’s more limited in terms of features and is more difficult to use and clean. So if you’re looking for an appliance that’s easy to use and clean, the Instant Pot is the better option.

Are the inner pots interchangeable between the two cooker?
What material is the inner pot from crockpot made from? Is it Teflon?
Thanks!
Love my Crockpot (bought it simply because in Europe it is only option available). But its great! You can brown anything, just use browning/sautéing option. I even bake potatoes and bread in it. Potatoes end up perfectly crispy and nothing sticks to the pot.
Really helpful thank you
Omg bomb
Thanks 👍🏻
Sorry, Your review is too short !! Not enough info for the items !
Chili and rice don't measure up alone.
Fantastic review. Thank you, your video was really helpful!
This video did not help at all.
Is it normal for the crock pot express to release steam as it heats? I feel like it’s releasing steam for a long time makes me think it’s going to pop open
I thought the song in the beginning was El Jarabe Tapatío. I even started dancing.
Got my Crockpot express for $20 bucks. Great deal!
Guy: Rice is mushy 😟
Me: Have you tried measuring water with finger method lol 🤣💀
"compared to the crockpot's eight"
[shows a close-up which clearly shows 12 different settings]
I have the Crock-Pot Express and I love it
Now I still do not know witch one to buy, for me this is not a very good review.
I have crockpot and works just fine. Use wood or silicone utensils!
One of any kind of device is NOT going to do everything for you.We are not like the cartoon,"The Jetsons".We do not live in a world where everything is done in seconds with the touch of a button. Not yet, anyway.

If your Indian you better get the ip
Thanks my friend just the info I was looking for. I prefer a stainless steel pot over the Crock Pots non stick and the option for a Ceramic Non Stick Pot is a plus. Instant Pot for me!
who cares about the amount of buttons. as long as it does what you want it to. I'm still debating because of the inner pot. stainless steel or non stick? 🤷🏽♀️
Guess I have to get Both🤣😍
whaaat instant pot is 119$ and crock pot 110$ on amazon, oh its 2020, nevermind
Some instant pots come with ceremic coated non stick bowls like mine
I have the crock pot. Love it!!
I bought the Crockpot one. It's a brand name I trust. My original one had a defect and they replaced it quickly and at no cost. I got 2 more for siblings of mine, no regrets! Money well spent.
Thank you for the information!
CNET credibility is iffy
Upfront Crock-Pot Express says press the chili button goes to manual time
I got a crock pot express and mine has a Manuel setting? No biggie that I did not get the shiney steel pot I can always purchase one for 20 dollars .. but you no what ? They are literally the same pot.. except the crockpot express does not sound like a droid … 😔 and that my only complaint.. I love the r2d2 sound of instant pot
What? "The crock-pot saute' doesn't create as much flavor as the insta pot"????? Dude that has nothing to do with the Crock-pot. That has to do with the quality or meat and whatever spices you use.
Instant pot is Canadian designed and Made in China.
Crockpot is American designed and made in China.
Now who wins?
This is hard to decide
The rice sitting on the crockpot is your manual setting you can go down to three mins on it
Stainless steel is always healthier than non-stick
